Delete your Yap account

You can delete your Yap account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

1. Open Yap and go to the Profile tab
2. Scroll down and tap Delete account
3. Confirm — your account and data are deleted immediately

Option 2 — By email

Email support@talkyap.com from the address linked to your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We process deletion requests within 30 days, usually much faster.

What gets deleted

• Your account and profile (name, handle, email)
• All conversation transcripts, highlights and saved words
• Streaks, badges and friend connections

Note: raw audio is never stored in the first place — Yap keeps text transcripts only. Limited records may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes, and subscriptions are managed separately through the App Store or Google Play (cancel there to stop billing).
